Fingerstock

Series No. 5200

MAJR Products’ fingerstock gaskets are made of Beryllium Copper and are ideal for repeated opening and closing applications where high attenuation performance and mechanical strength is required. Beryllium copper’s electrical properties provide shielding effectiveness over an extremely broad frequency range. Mechanically, Beryllium Copper yields a high deflection range, with low compression set. Beryllium Copper, alloy 25, is used for maximum spring properties of strength and fatigue resistance. A variety of fingerstock is also available in stainless steel. We feature RoHS Compliant Material, High EMI/RFI Attenuation, variety of platings and finishes and high temperature tolerance. Contact our factory for profiles and availability.

Product Options

Fingerstock Track Mounting (Series 5200 / 5210): Track mounted symmetrical fingers provide a durable shielding solution for applications requiring bi-directional motion, such as drawers and plug-in modules.

Fingerstock Snap-on Mounting (Series 5220): Our Snap-on Mount fingerstock using single or double fingers are ideal for applications such as sliding drawers, cabinet doors, rack-mounted assemblies and covers. They perform well in bi-directional applications and the snap-on capability makes them easy to install.

Fingerstock Stick-on Mounting (Series 5230): Pressure Sensitive Adhesive Mounting provides double-sided pressure sensitive transfer tape for a fast, reliable installation. Our 3M transfer tape or equivalent may be used at ambient temperatures from -67°F to 300°F. Apply only on a clean, oil-free surface, and allow a 24-hour cure time. Consult the factory for other adhesives and extended liner options.

Fingerstock Clip-on Mounting (Series 5240): Clip-on Mounting provides a reliable mechanical installation when there is a mounting flange. Various flange thicknesses can be accommodated, and lances can be incorporated to enhance the holding force to the flange.

Fingerstock Special Mounting (Series 5250): Special Mounting shielding strips can be installed by spot welding or soldering. Rivets can be used for the Strip mount 10S37 and 11S50 profiles and conductive pressure sensitive adhesives are available. Consult the factory.

Applications

MAJR’s Fingerstock should be used in applications where there is a need for high EMI shielding but no need for any environmental or moisture sealing. It is also great for applications that will require frequent gasket compression, like doors and lids for electronic cabinets and enclosures.
